A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on I-26 late Monday night, according to Lance Cpl. Nick Pye of the SC Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian was hit in the area of Mile Marker 106 in the westbound lane of I-26, said Pye. The incident occurred around 11:46 p.m., Monday. Pye said the vehicle that hit the pedestrian is unknown.
