Detectives with the West Columbia Police Department are conducting a death investigation. At approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, West Columbia Police were dispatched to an injured individual near the 2600 block of Augusta Road.

Shortly after arrival on the scene, law enforcement and EMS determined that the individual was deceased.
