Todd Cullum wins, retains his Lexington County Council seat
Todd Cullum won his District 9 Lexington County Council seat, Tuesday. Cullum defeated Bobby L. Porter in the primary. Cullum received about 74 percent of the vote to Porter’s 26 percent.
Cullum, who lives in Cayce, got 1,174 votes. Porter received 423 votes. He won the GOP Primary and will retain the seat because there is no Democrat opposing him.
Cullum issued a statement after his win:
Today, the voters of Lexington County Council District 9 have given me the opportunity to represent them for another four years. And I am grateful for every single vote.
No matter how you voted today, please know I am thankful for the opportunity to represent you, your family, your business and our community.
With the recent County redistricting, I was fortunate to have the Town of South Congaree and the rest of the City of Cayce included in District 9. I have enjoyed meeting so many new voters on the campaign trail. And; if we haven’t met yet, I look forward to doing so very soon. I am proud of our progress, our accomplishments and progress over the last few years, and the chance to continue working together for Lexington County.
Thank you again for your time, your support, your vote; and most of all, your trust.”
