Both inbound lanes and one outbound lane of Sunset Boulevard (US-378) were closed for a while Friday afternoon, due to a collision near Northside Boulevard. Inbound traffic was detoured to Darby Ambrose Road.

The collision resulted in injuries. According to the Lexington police Department, the crash was caused by a reckless driver traveling outbound who was passing cars in the median and struck a vehicle traveling inbound. This collision involved a total of six vehicles and all vehicles sustained damage.
