The Lexington County Fire Service, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the South Carolina Forestry Commission responded to the 4100 block of Two Notch Road in the Gilbert area, at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

A fast-moving woods fire threatened multiple homes. A vacant mobile home, camper and vehicles were destroyed during the incident. Seven fire units, two dozers and 27 personnel from LCFS, Forestry, Sheriff’s Department and EMS worked for two hours to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
