SC Department of Transportation crews were on the bridge over Congaree Creek in Cayce, Thursday. Workers were repairing potholes on the I-77 bridge over Congaree Creek in Lexington County. The southbound lane was closed to remove damaged portions of the concrete and repair the concrete bridge decks with a smooth surface.

The crews worked to repair the bridge as necessary with some night work scheduled with lane closures. Workers were close to traffic, and SCDOT officials asked that drivers please drive carefully through the work zones.
