Man found dead in Lexington home after threatening to kill himself
The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating an incident that ended Sunday and involved a barricaded man in a Lexington home.
For more than 24 hours, beginning Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, Lexington Police officers negotiated with the subject, who was barricaded in a home on Cherry Hall Drive. The objective was the safety of the man who had made multiple threats to kill himself.
Sunday afternoon the Lexington Police Department Emergency Services Team entered the house and found the man deceased.
According to a SLED press release there is no information that any law enforcement officer fired any rounds during the incident. The Lexington Police Department requested that SLED crime scene agents come in and process the crime scene and investigate.
