The sun was bright, music played and children scrambled over the turf in the biergarten of Savage Craft Ale Works at 430 Meeting St. in West Columbia, Sunday.

Kyle Dills strummed some country and rock favorites on his guitar from the sound stage in pre-spring temperatures at the micro-brewery. A prickly pear sour was one of the brews on tap. Parents sat at tables in the barely warm outdoors, with the smell of scrumptious food in the air. The scene is a reminder that spring is right around the corner and people are ready to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.
