One person is dead after a collision on US 321 about four miles south of Cayce, around 10:25 p.m., Tuesday.

The driver a 1998 Honda Civic was attempting to make a left turn off of US 321 onto a private drive when it was hit by a 2006 Honda Accord.

Both vehicles left the road and the Civic became engulfed in flames, said Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the SC Highway Patrol. The driver of the Civic is deceased. The collision occurred near Old Wire Road, Tidwell said.
