Central Bark thriving on Augusta Road in West Columbia
The owners of Central Bark, 2931 Augusta Road, are thrilled to be in West Columbia.
“Things are going very well since we opened, “said Courtney Girolamo. She and her husband Anthony opened Central Bark in November of 2020. The business is a member if the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
“People everywhere love their dogs. And West Columbia has been great,” she said. “It’s also close to the interstates and we get customers from all over. We’re in a very nice location.”
Central Bark offers doggy day care, socialization training, boarding and grooming. The retail business also markets the best food, treats, and toys for your dog.
Courtney said the number of dog owners seems to be growing. “A lot of people adopted dogs during the (COVID) pandemic,” she said. “And they come to us because they want to treat their dogs well.”
Anthony was initially the primary manager of Central Bark, but since Courtney, who was in education, has come aboard full-time because of the success of the business.
“I’m here because Anthony and I believe your pets deserves the best care they can get,” Courtney said.
