Rhythm on the River comes back on a Riverwalk beautiful night
With the Congaree River murmuring in the background, Rhythm on the River made its comeback to the Riverwalk Amphitheater in West Columbia, Friday. It was the first ROR concert in two years. COVID had stopped the music.
It was a Chamber of Commerce kind of night, with music from Chris Reed and the Bad Kids playing, as the orange glow from a setting sun enveloped the stage.
“It’s nice to be back,” said Tim James, president and CEO of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
Steve Cohen, who has been a ROR volunteer for 17 years, he’s looking forward to the next two shows.
The Rhythm on the River concerts begin at 6 p.m. Oct. 8, and are held every Friday in October in the Riverwalk Amphitheater in West Columbia. Rhythm on the River is sponsored by Lexington Medical Center, Nephron and United Community Bank. The City of West Columbia is also a sponsor.
ROR schedule:
- Oct 22- Walter Hemingway and the Nahi Gruv Band
- Oct 29 – Kenny George Band
