Always Original Bakery at 501 Meeting St. West Columbia held a soft opening in a newly renovated space, Thursday.
The bakery is owned by George Grogan and Jay Dawson. Always Original Bakery will hold another soft opening from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday. It’s official opening is at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

“Nothing indicates that a neighborhood is on the upswing like a bakery moving in.” said West Columbia City Councilman David Moye. Always Original is in his district and he dropped in to visit, Thursday. “This is an exciting step forward for the Meeting Street District.”
