The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department was on the scene of a shooting in which one person died, after 7 p.m., Sunday. I – 26 eastbound was blocked at the 91 Mile Marker as SLED is investigated an officer-involved shooting, Sunday night, according to Master Trooper David Jones of the SC Highway Patrol. Newberry County Law Enforcement officials were also on the scene.

According to WIS-TV a person car-jacked a motorist who stopped to help after an accident. WIS reported about 6:15 a.m. that a suspect charged an officer and was shot and Killed. Detours are in place at the 82 and 85 mile markers east bound.
