Lexington man charged with murder in connection to June 27 shooting
An arrest has been made in a shooting homicide that occurred on Freedom Drive in Lexington, According to Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green.
Jabin Elliotte Trapp, age 49 of Lexington, was arrested in the death of Parrish Scott Phillips, age
49 of Chapin, that occurred on the afternoon of June 27.
When officers were dispatched to the shooting, they found the victim deceased and laying in the backyard with several gunshots to the upper body. During the investigation it was found that Jabin Trapp and the victim had been involved in an argument that ended when Jabin Trapp shot the victim several times.
Jabin Trapp has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent
Crime. He is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
