Lexington Police look for suspect after shots fired regarding social media dispute
Lexington Police are requesting assistance from the community in relation to a shooting incident that occurred Monday, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive, according to LPD Chief Terrence Green.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the incident location in reference to a shots fired call. It is believed that an older model blue-gray BMV drove by the residence and fired a weapon into the house.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who stated that he had been having an ongoing social media dispute with another individual who he believed fired the weapon into the residence. The individual was positivity identified in a line up as Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr, age 19, of Lexington. A white male and a black male were seen with Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., with the white male being the driver of the BMW. Officers found evidence to support that there had been a shooting. No injuries were reported in relation to the incident.
Detectives have issued warrants for Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Firing a Weapon into an Occupied Dwelling for Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr.
