A driver was wounded by gunfire Thursday in Cayce.
The Cayce Department of Public Safety is investigating a driver-involved shooting.

A driver left 12th Street in Cayce and drove onto I-77 North at about 10 p.m., Thursday. Cayce Police said another driver pulled up beside him and fired.

At least four bullets were fired into the vehicle. One bullet shattered the driver-side window. Police also reported three bullet holes in the rear passenger door and one near the handle of the front, driver-side door. The driver was shot in the upper arm and taken to the hospital. The wound was not life threatening.
