A crash on Interstate 77 south was blocking traffic, Thursday morning.

According to Master Trooper David Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, traffic was blocked in the south bound lanes of I-77 at mile marker 9.

A tractor trailer and a dump truck were traveling in the north bound lanes when the tractor trailer struck the rear of the dump truck causing it to overturn into the south bound lanes.

The crash caused traffic to be backed for up miles. No injuries were reported. Delays were expected and drivers were asked to find an alternate route.
