The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal collision occurred in Lexington County at 7:17 am. on Tuesday.
According to Master Trooper William H. Bennett, the fatal collision occurred on Fairview Road (US 178) near the intersection with TA Fore Road.

Bennett said a 2021 Dodge Durango was traveling west on Fairview Road when it collided head-on with a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the Durango died at the scene of the crash.

Two people in the Malibu were transported to the hospital by EMS.

The SCHP is investigating the crash. The Lexington County Coroner has not yet releaded the name of the deceased.
