Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher will announce the cause and manner of death in the case of Elena Moore. The announcement will be made on Friday at 1 p.m.

On June 17, during a multi-agency search, a body was discovered under a bridge near Old Cherokee Road and North Lake Drive, in Lexington and the Lexington County Sheriff and Lexington Police Chief were asked to assist with a missing person and death investigation.

On Friday, June 19, the Lexington County Coroner’s Office officially identified the body as Elena Moore.

The cause of death remained pending as toxicology, histology, and other medical record reports werre researched.
