Lexington County Fire Services and Lexington County EMS will host a dedication ceremony and open house for the new Jeffrey V. Chavis Fire & EMS Station No. 34 on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1447 North Lake Drive in Lexington. A ribbon-cutting was held in early September.

The community is invited to attend the dedication ceremony, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by an open house that will continue until 12:00 p.m.

The event will recognize the new station and honor the legacy of Jeffrey V. Chavis, whose name the station carries. The open house will provide community members with an opportunity to tour the facility, learn more about the work of Lexington County Fire & EMS, and meet members of the department.
