A pedestrian died after being struck by three cars on Interstate 26 west, according to Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover of the SC Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian was hit at mile marker 105 at around 4:05 a.m., Monday.

There were three vehicles involved. A 2024 Volvo tractor-trailer, a 2025 Toyota Camry and a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, said Glover. The three vehicles struck the pedestrian who was in the road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. None of the drivers were injured.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian’s identity has not yet been released by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
