Officer Farhat was recognized by the West Columbia City Council and Mayor Miles, Tuesday, for graduating at the top of his Criminal Justice Academy class in August and earning the prestigious JP Strom Award in August.

Newly certified West Columbia Police Officers Foundation chairmen Tim James and Steve Cohen recognized his dedication and hard work by presenting him with a new pistol.

The WCPOF is a nonprofit organization that remains prepared to provide financial assistance to officers in emergencies.
