Last week, Cayce Mayor Elise Partin joined fellow mayors from across America to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence in the very city where the Declaration of Independence was signed, Philadelphia, PA.
Mayor Partin represented Cayce during this historic milestone, marching alongside her peers and demonstrating the power of collaboration, sharing ideas, and democracy.
July 2, 1776 was the day the Continental Congress actually voted for independence. The Declaration of Independence was formally adopted two days later then sent to a printer and circulated to the public on July 4th.
