A hearing related to the Alex Murdaugh case will be held the morning of Monday, June 29 at the Marc H. Westbrook Judicial Center.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department expects there to be a high public interest in this hearing. Space in the courtroom will be very limited.

Reminders for those attending as the general public:

– No cellphones or other electronic devices will be allowed in the courtroom.

– Public seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

– There will be no coming and going in and out of the courtroom once the hearing begins.

– The doors to the courthouse will open at 8 a.m.

Traffic and parking areas will be more congested than normal. We ask everyone to keep that in mind as they travel to or near the courthouse Monday morning.
