The body of the female discovered near Old Cherokee Road and Northlake Drive on Wednesday, has been identified as missing person Elena K. Moore.

An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at MUSC in Charleston.

Additional information regarding the cause and manner of death is expected to be released on Monday, June 22. Please note that determining a final cause and manner of death is a thorough process that may take several days or weeks to complete. Until that time, no further information regarding this investigation will be released.
