West Columbia Beautification Foundation's Taste on the River is a big success

The 10th annual Taste on the River took place at Stone River in West Columbia, Thursday night. The best restaurants in the area came out to offer samples of delicious dishes. There was also a silent auction.

“It was a wonderful evening,” said West Columbia Beautification Foundation Chairwoman Kathy Whetzel. “We had a great time and raised a lot of money that will go toward the beautification projects we have planned for West Columbia. We are adding flowers and other greenery to the medians on Augusta Road, and we have a project at the corner of 9th Street and Meeting Street. All of the great people who came and supported us at Taste on the River will get see how their participation helps make West Columbia look better. I say ‘thank you’ to everyone who made Taste on the River another perfect evening.”
