West Columbia Police Department officers responded to the 500 block of North Brown Street at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10. The call resulted in both an officer and the suspect being transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Both the officer and suspect are in stable condition at this time. The case has been turned over to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for investigation.
