A large fire occurred at a commercial property at 927 Holland Avenue, Saturday. Cayce Fire arrived on the scene around 10:20 AM and began actively working to gain control of the flames. Surrounding fire departments from Columbia; West Columbia; and Lexington County assisted. Cayce Police were also at the scene to control the flow of traffic. By 1:45 a.m. there fire was under control, according to a City of Cayce post. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The official cause of the fire is still under investigation. The building was not an active business, and is considered a total loss due to extensive damage. A joint investigation by the Cayce Police Department, Lexington County Sheriff, and West Columbia fire investigators was being conducted.
