East Point Academy Middle Campus has been awarded the distinguished Palmetto Gold Award by the South Carolina Department of Education, recognizing the school’s exceptional academic achievement and continued commitment to student success.

The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program was established by the South Carolina General Assembly as part of the Education Accountability Act (EAA) of 1998. The program honors schools that demonstrate high levels of absolute performance, strong academic growth, and significant progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups, according to the South Carolina Department of Education.

“This Palmetto Gold Award is a direct reflection of the hard work of our middle school students and the unwavering dedication of our staff,” said the East Point Academy Middle School Principal. “It embodies our shared commitment to our motto: Be Nice, Work Hard.”
