A Lexington man was killed in a head-on collision in Kershaw County.

The man has been identified as Walter Grannen III, age 73, from Lexington by Kershaw County Coroner David West.

West said Grannen was driving a vehicle described a T-Bucket Hot Rod. It was headed east on Hwy 34 and drove over into the westbound lane, and hit a Ford Expedition head-on. Grannen was pronounced dead at the scene, West stated.

Kershaw County 911 received a call at 10:57 a.m. Sunday, reporting an accident on Hwy 34 and South Gate Dr in Camden, according to the coroner.
