Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has positively identified the person who was found shot outside an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Fernandina Road in the Columbia area of Lexington County on April 4, 2026, shortly before 1 p.m.

According to Coroner Fisher, Mr. Ke’Mari Samar’Trey Ford, 18, of Lexington was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department continue to investigate the incident.
