Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies were in the 3500 block of Fernandina Road investigating a fatal shooting, Saturday evening.

Crime scene investigators were on the scene processing and collecting potential evidence. They will most likely be in the area for several hours, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives have identified a person of interest and believe it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
