West Columbia Police investigated a report of gunfire on Sunday afternoon.

A report on the WCPD Facebook page said officers responded to the 2400 block of Augusta Road (in the Walmart parking lot) after a reported shooting. Police asked that community members stay clear of the area as officers continued their investigation.

According to a report on WLTX-TV after 5:30 p.m. said “the investigation is still active and fluid.” No more information was available.
