Lexington County investigators seek tips on 25-year-old man’s 2025 disappearance
Lexington County investigators hope the public will provide a break in a missing person case opened more than a year ago.

Drayton Lucas, 25, went missing the morning of Feb. 8, 2025, according to his family.
“Family members tell us they believe Drayton walked away from their home on Whetstone Road in Swansea,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “It’s possible he was headed toward Orangeburg County.”
Drayton is 5’10″ and 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, according to Koon.
“We searched for Drayton by land and air on multiple occasions in the days right after his disappearance,” Koon said. “Detectives have continued to try and find him over the past year.
“This case hasn’t gone cold; however, we’re hoping a renewed effort to get Drayton’s face and name out there again will prompt someone to come forward,” Koon said. “We don’t need theories or guesses; we need actionable tips and verifiable info.”
Koon said anonymous tips can be shared on the Midlands Crimestoppers app. Those who share information that leads to a resolution in the case could be eligible for a cash reward.
