A fatal vehicle crash occurred on Saturday, according to Cpl. Nicholas T. Pye of the SC Highway Patrol. It happened at 2:28 pm, on Haven Road near J.J. Parrish Road.

Pye said a 2014 Chevrolet pickup was traveling east when it left the road to the left, hit a ditch, and then struck a tree.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released by the Lexington County Coroner yet. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
