
Take your Christmas tree to a Lexington County Collection and Recycling Center to dispose of it
If you want to dispose of your Christmas tree, you can take it to a Lexington County Collection and Recycling Center.
Remove all decorations first and take it to any one of the following Lexington County Collection and Recycling Centers that accept CLEAN WOOD to be recycled. (**NOTE-Not all centers accept clean wood waste, see below for a list of centers that ACCEPT Clean Wood waste)
- 1. Ball Park Rd- 301 Ball Park Road Lexington
- 2. Bush River Rd- 6109 Busch River Rd, Columbia
- 3. Chapin- 103 Distant Lane, Chapin
- 4. Edmund Collection Center- 325 Landfill Lane, Lexington
- 5. Edmund Landfill- 498 Landfill Lane, Lexington
- 6. Sandhills- 3241 Charleston HWY, Cayce
**Please make sure your items are broken down in both cases so they are not greater than 4′ in Length or 4″ in diameter.

Artificial and Painted Trees
Once you remove all your decorations, ribbons, and tinsel, you may take your artificial tree and wreaths to your nearest Collection and Recycling Center and place them in SCRAP METAL bin. Flocked and/or painted trees and wreaths should be placed in YARD TRASH at a Collection and Recycling Center.
Both are accepted at the Edmund Landfill.
The Edmund Landfill is located at 498 Landfill Lane, Lexington.
Monday-Saturday 7 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Closed Sunday.
