Cayce Police Make Arrests in Two Separate Cases; stemming from an assault investigation and a narcotics operation
(From the City of Cayce) – The Cayce Police Department continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to protecting our community, with officers and investigators making significant arrests in two separate cases—one stemming from a violent assault investigation and another from a proactive undercover narcotics operation.

ITEM ONE: Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Charges Added
Following CPD’s investigation into an assault in the Riverland Park area on October 23, the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at 520 Riverside Lane. That search resulted in the discovery of multiple firearms and large quantities of narcotics inside the residence. Four individuals were taken into custody because of the investigation: Micala Nicole Baucom, Casey Taylor Price, Jennifer Marie Owens, and Stephen Allen Rhein. Each suspect remains in jail and faces multiple charges connected to the assault, as well as multiple narcotics and weapons violations.
During Price’s arrest, officers seized two mobile devices as evidence. A subsequent forensic examination uncovered that Price was actively involved in the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
As a result, additional charges have been filed against Cayce Taylor Price:
- • Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (5 counts)
- • Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (10 counts)
CPD extends their thanks for the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved in this operation — the Street Crimes Unit, Lexington County NET Team, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Firearm Detection K9 — for their assistance in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion.
