Through the Lexington Police Department’s ongoing partnership with Serve and Connect, 300 holiday food boxes with a frozen turkey will be give to each attendee.

For the past nine years, the Lexington Police Department and Serve & Connect have hosted Bountiful Harvest as a day of giving and receiving with outreach to those in our community who may need food and resources as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.

Serve & Connect, local law enforcement, and community partners will meet at the Icehouse Pavilion at 8:30 a.m. for a news conference followed by the packing of 300 Greg’s Groceries holiday-themed food boxes. There will be a light breakfast and coffee for our food box packing event participants and volunteers.

For those interested in attending Bountiful Harvest, the Community Resource Fair will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. Those who are in need of holiday groceries will receive a food box, a frozen turkey, meet local community resource partners, and enjoy a catered meal from Hudson’s Smokehouse.

Along with the Greg’s Groceries food boxes, there will be 300 frozen turkeys available and these have been provided through the support of Molina Healthcare.

For those who are able to give, Mission Lexington will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items, blankets, gloves, socks, and underwear. Through the holidays, they are specifically asking for canned proteins, canned yams, and cans of soup.

Bountiful Harvest continues to be one of our most locally impactful events with attendees from over three dozen zips codes within the Midlands and beyond receiving holiday food boxes and resources.

The Icehouse Pavilion is located at 107 West Main Street in Lexington, South Carolina.
