Phyllis “Cookie” Holmes won the West Columbia City Council District 5 seat, Tuesday, She defeated Kiaun Moore and Brad Johnson. Holmes received 72 (63%) of the vote to 36 votes (31%) for Moore and 7 votes (6%) for Robinson.

Holmes will replace West Columbia City Councilman Mickey Pringle, who did not run for reelection. West Columbia City Council Members Mike Green (Dist. 1) George Crowe (Dist. 3) and Sarah Mattern (Dist. 7) won their seats on council. None of them had opposition.
