A large steel object came loose from its carrier as the carrier was exiting Interstate 20 at South Lake Drive in Lexington. After striking the cab of the truck, the steel object landed in the inbound lanes of South Lake Drive. Emergency personnel responded to the scene before 5 a.m., Tuesday. Lanes were closed and detours were put in place as the site was cleared. All lanes were opened after the debris from the accident was cleaned up. (LPD Photo)
