This week is Fire Prevention Week, and the West Columbia Fire Department is holding an Open House! A FREE family event on Friday, October 10, from 4-8 PM, at the WCFD Fire House. Our Open House will include:

• – Gear Try-on
• – Station Tours
• – Rope and Vehicle Rescue Demonstrations
• – Blood Drive
• – Sparky the Fire Dog

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” Learn how to safely buy, charge, and recycle batteries to protect your home. Bring the kids, bring your questions, and get an inside look at the West Columbia Fire Department as we tackle fire safety!
