2 men arrested in Lexington County on drug trafficking charges

Two men accused of trafficking various drugs have been arrested after a narcotics investigation that began in July.

Freddie English Jr. (pictured left), 32, is charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to arrest warrants.

Marvin Mavins, 39, is charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, according to an arrest warrant.

“Investigators with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Mavins last month after conducting a controlled purchase of meth,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Investigators discovered Mavins was supplied the meth by English.”

English was arrested by the Wagner Police Department, according to Koon.

“Investigators seized over one pound of meth and more than three pounds of marijuana at a Lexington home associated with English,” said Koon.

English and Mavins are being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
