Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a house fire in the 1600 block of B Avenue in the West Columbia area of Lexington County on Saturday, at approximately 3:54 AM.

According to Fisher, Ms. Lila Ann Gunter, 65, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled at MUSC in Charleston, SC on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 8:30 AM.

The West Columbia Police Department, SLED, and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
