
Lexington County Coroner identifies man who died in Saturday night crash
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a two-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Old Cherokee Road in the Lexington area of Lexington County on shortly before 11 p.m., Saturday.
According to Fisher, Mr. Steven Chase Liebler, 36, of Lexington was traveling eastbound on Old Cherokee Road when he left the right side of the roadway, over corrected, and struck a vehicle head on that was traveling westbound. Mr. Liebler, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
