The Riverchase Way Collection Center (110 River Chase Way, between Lexington and West Columbia) permanently closed on Monday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m.

A brand-new, expanded facility—the Augusta Road Collection & Recycling Center (4765 Augusta Road)—will officially open on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 a.m.

County leaders and community members recently gathered for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new facility, which has been nearly a decade in the making. First introduced in 2016, the project reflects the County’s commitment to meeting the needs of our growing community.

“With three times the capacity of Riverchase, the Augusta Road site is designed to provide convenient, safe, and efficient services for residents well into the future,” said Lee McIntyre, Director of Solid Waste Management.
