
Irmo Little League Baseball Team defeats Hawaii to stay alive in Little League World Series
The Irmo Little League Baseball Team stayed alive Tuesday by defeating Hawaii (West) by a score of 3-0. Irmo is representing the Southeast in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Irmo, 2-1 in the LLWS, scored in the top of the second inning versus Hawaii on a bases-loaded walk by Sutton Gravelle
Irmo pitcher Brady Westbrooks kept Hawaii off the boards and there was a big bases-loaded double play defensive play in the 5th inning. Irmo extended its lead in the top of the sixth with a 2 RBI single from Andrew Bogan that scored both Preston Ware and Bubba McQuilkin.
The Irmo All-Stars Southeast Region champions have defeated New England Region champ Braintree American 13-0 in a first-round matchup. Irmo suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Summerlin South (Nevada) in 7 innings, Monday.
Irmo is the first team from South Carolina to make it to the LLWS since Taylors in 2015.
