The West Columbia Riverwalk and Amphitheater parking lot was closed on July 14, except for tubing/put-in/take-out access.

Contractors have started repairs on the Riverwalk. Some damaged concrete has been removed and new portions of the Riverwalk have been replaced with new concrete.

The part of Riverwalk from the Amphitheater to the Cayce Riverwalk, near the Blossom Street Bridge, could be reopened by Mid-August. The part from the Amphitheater to the Moffatt Street Entrance could be repaired by Mid-September. The Riverwalk was severely damaged by Hurricane Helene in late October.
