Steel Hands Brewing is thriving in Cayce, It’s in the Business Spotlight

To say Steel Hands Brewing in Cayce has been a huge success is a huge understatement. The 100,000-sq-ft facility opened in December of 2018 on a 4-acre site at 2350 Foreman Street. It sits across from CMC Steel, which helped inspire the Steel Hands name. Since opening, Steel Hands has flourished and it is a solid member of the Cayce business community.

Steel Hands is a large-production brewery with 900 barrels of fermentation of brewhouse capacity, said Alyx Fredrickson of Steel Hands. Quality is a part of every craft brew that is produced. In addition to the brewing system, the Steel Hands Tap Room is 2,500-sq-ft. and there is a large outdoor gathering space where bands often perform.

The restaurant offers small and big plate fare. In addition to food and drink, Steel Hands also presents Nashville Nights and many other free live music events. The quality and variety of live music adds to the appeal of Steel Hands.

Steel Hands is grateful for the support it has received from the community. And Steel Hands is glad to give back.

“Cayce has supported us every step of the way,” said Alyx Fredrickson of Steel Hands. “And our goal is to enhance and foster good will in this same community.”

Cayce City Councilman Byron Thomas said Steel Hands Brewery is a great community partner. 

“There are breweries, and then there’s Steel Hands Brewing. From hosting community favorites like the Adult Spelling Bee with the Cayce Beautification Foundation to Steel Paws with Cayce Public Safety,” Thomas said. They consistently go above and beyond. With live music, creative events, and a welcoming atmosphere, Steel Hands has become more than just a brewery, it’s a true destination. I’ve met people from all over South Carolina who’ve come to Cayce just to experience what Steel Hands has to offer. I’m blessed to have Steel Hands in District Two”

Alyx also said Steel Hands is a Destination Brewery, committed to creating an exceptional taproom experience for visitors to enjoy unique and great tasting beer.

She said the staff is  dedicated to serving the highest quality beer with exceptional consistency. Steel Hands incorporates the latest brewing technologies, production scale and experienced brewers to produce a variety of great tasting beers.

With so much good happening for Steel Hands in the last seven years, growth is inevitable.

“We have so much space,” said Alyx, “There is certainly room for future expansion. And Cayce is a great place to be.”
