Man on motorcycle, stopped under Lexington County overpass, is killed when struck by vehicle

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident near the 51 mile-marker of I-20 eastbound in the Lexington area of Lexington County, Saturday. According to Sgt. Tyler Tidwell of the SCHP, the collision occurred around 3:20 p.m. The vehicle was a 2024 Chrysler and the motorcycle was a 2015 Harley-Davidson.

According to Fisher, Mr. Kendall Lamar Walker, 57, of Augusta, GA, was stopped under the
overpass at Longs Pond Road, along with three other motorcycles when a vehicle left the road and struck all four motorcycles. Mr. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three other motorcyclists were transported to an area hospital with injuries. The four
occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol, the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT, and the Lexington County
Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
