The ribbon was cut at Langley Pointe Apartments, Wednesday afternoon. The 312-unit apartment complex sits just off of Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, near Henbet Drive.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was sponsored by the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
C-WC Chamber President Tim James heralded the new residential development as a much-needed addition to the community.
West Columbia City Councilman Jimmy Brooks, who represents the district, thanked the developers of Langley Pointe for their effort to build a quality complex. Eve Garcia, Langley Pointe Community Manager, said it’s great to be a part of the West Columbia Community. She also thanked the City of West Columbia for its cooperation to get the project completed.
The $60-million-plus project has an occupancy rate of more than 60 percent and 70 percent of the residents are from out-of-state.
